The event featured bands and performers such as Equinox, Saginaw Brass Quintet, Sweet Adelines, Doodads, Cornpone, Tosspints, and Argontos. The musical styles of over 25 bands and performers on five stages included pop rock, world music, classical jazz, Celtic, barbershop, folk, blues, Irish, Cajun, and much more. In addition to the non-stop entertainment, guests were encouraged to participate in a silent auction, and to enjoy three different dinner buffets. The Saginaw Rotary Club (www.rotaryclubofsaginaw.org) sponsored the event and fundraiser to benefit the Covenant Healthcare SleepSack Project. SleepSacks are wearable blankets that replace loose crib bedding and reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Covenant and The Saginaw Rotary Club have joined together to provide a SleepSack to every newborn in Saginaw County. Covenant representatives were also there to raise awareness of the Covenant Kids program, and promote their “Go the extra mile for Covenant Kids” marathon, to be held Saturday, April 17, and the Covenant Kids Telethon, Saturday, April 24 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., to be aired on WNEM TV5.
