Author Preston J. Meyers

Preston J. Meyers is the author of two books, The Story of Marcus Lotharius: The Eternal (May 2008), and The Silver Maiden’s Calling: The Quest for the Nations (July 2010). In his books, Meyers strives to illustrate God’s vision for our world by combining fantasy fiction with the biblical story.

While attending Central Michigan University, Meyers joined His House Christian Fellowship in 1996, and began writing Christian poetry. He wrote the lyrics to a few songs, as well as a couple of scripts. It was only after performing a narrative entitled, “What was I Thinking?” which dealt with the thoughts of Jesus while he was praying in Gethsemane, that Meyers knew he should share God’s word through creative writing.

In Meyers’ first book, The Story of Marcus Lotharius: The Eternal, Marcus is an immortal sent to save the intelligent race on earth – after 70 million A.D. Born in ancient Rome in 100 B.C., Marcus was cursed as a young boy and turned immortal. He would age until his 23rd birthday, and lives to see the destruction of mankind. He learns about the mysterious God who had saved him, and witness the rebirth of life on earth and the rise of the Saluuni, an aquatic race descended from the fish of the sea. After meeting this new people, he teaches them about the Word of God, becoming their guardian, protector, and mediator.

Meyers’ second book, The Silver Maiden’s Calling: The Quest for the Nations, tells the story of Mina, Marcus’ daughter. While Marcus only reaches one race, Mina, reaches three more. After her father triumphs and redeems the faithful of the aquatic race, Mina sets out to share God’s Word with the three nations that have yet to hear it: the male-dominated culture of the Dyrin, the warrior culture of the Lyri, and the Kwawzan, a nomadic crustacean race descended from the creatures of the deep.

Join Marcus and Mina on their journey of discipleship, forgiveness, mercy, and perseverance, and continue seeking that which is eternal.
