Freeland Area Chamber Open House

The Freeland Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual After Hours Open House Thursday, February 17th, at The Grand in Freeland. It was a great opportunity for area business owners to gather, enjoy food, drinks, wine tasting provided by Pat’s Food Center, and exchange information with one another while listening to the music of the Jim and Tim Acoustic Show.

Representatives from Easy Printing Center, 5580 State St. in Saginaw, were there to promote the upcoming Freeland Chamber of Commerce Community Booklet, and discuss the opportunity for businesses to advertise in the booklet. The booklet is a collaborative effort of various Freeland area businesses, educational, governmental, and service groups. The publication will highlight the positive attributes of the Freeland community, including information about Freeland’s history, and is designed to have a two to three year shelf life. Businesses interested in advertising in the Community Booklet are directed to call Bob (Easy Printing Center) at 497-5200.

A representative from the Tittabawassee Township Historical Society (www.tthistoricalsociety.org) was also on hand to present information about their organization, as well as to announce plans to build an historical museum.

Table centerpieces and displays were sponsored by such businesses as Hungry Howie’s Pizza, Aaron’s Flowers, State Farm, Chemical Bank, Designer’s Touch Decorating Center, Tiffany’s Unique Boutique, Pat’s Food Center, and Mid-Michigan Health.

Among the many businesses that attended the open house were Vow to Wow Wedding Coordinating (www.vowtowow1.com), Aaron’s Flowers (7525 Midland Rd., Freeland), Meadows Apartments (8321 Webster Rd., Freeland), Signatures Photography Studios (www.signaturesps.com), Willsie Lumber Company (9770 Pierce Rd., Freeland), A.J.
