...Romance Author...Community Village receives a Wii
So far they’re only in their second week and everyone is still learning, but Activity Director, Marianne Holubowicz, plans to eventually schedule more days during the week, possibly adding golf and game shows in the future. According to Holubowicz, it’s a great way for seniors to experience mild activity while socializing with fellow residents. Many of the participants are ex-bowlers, and the Wii game gives them a chance to enjoy the sport without leaving the facility. Keith Hebl from maintenance set up the Wii to display on a big screen, and Holubowicz acquired extra game controllers. They’re now able to rotate through groups of four players during a game, giving everyone a turn.
