...Romance Author...Freeland Arts in the ParkThe annual Freeland Arts in the Park event took place Saturday, September 11, at Tittabawassee Township Park. Guests were able to see the area’s top artists at work, listen to local musicians, and taste a variety of foods such as cheese, crackers, meats, fruit, vegetables, bread and pie. Everyone was encouraged to take part in the silent and live auctions, while enjoying samples of different wines from around the world. Among the many participating artists were Luella L. Belle, Kathleen Ericson, oil painter, Karl R. Denton (www.karldenton.com), photo/mixed media, and Mike and Tracy Kehr (www.tracykehr.com), displaying their collection of sterling silver, custom soldered charms. Featured musicians included Acoustic Blends, Maybe August (acoustic), Empty Canvas featuring Empty Pockets, and Jedi Mind Trip. The list of sponsors include: Knight Facilities Management, Inc., Burt Watson Chevrolet, Pat’s Food Center, Mid-State Earthworks, Freeland Lions Club, MBS International Airport, MLR Engineering, MMR Mobile Medical Response, Chemical Bank, Crescent Consulting, Inc., Freeland Chamber of Commerce, Freeland State Bank, Keyes Trenching, Weinlander Fitzhugh, Fabiano Brothers, Cobblestone Homes, Probuild, and Wolverine Bank. All proceeds of the event will benefit the Freeland Community Sports Association and Freeland SportsZone.
